Kernan and the Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks Bureau of Therapeutic Recreation host the Baltimore City Wheelchair Basketball clinic at Kernan. The clinic plays Wednesday evenings at 6 pm beginning May 22 for 6 consecutive weeks. In case of rain, clinc dates will be rescheduled.

The clinic prepares new participants to be able to participate in the Baltimore City Recreation and Parks Wheelchair Basketball Metro League, which plays each fall and winter.

Clinics are held on Kernan's adaptive sports court, which was completed in 2006, and serves as an important component of our rehabilitation program.

It features a basketball court and tennis court layout with a removable net. It provides an avenue for introducing patients to wheelchair sports and improving fitness and overall health through physical activity.

Patients, families, staff and visitors are invited to attend. The clinc is free.
