Dr. Pellegrini is the James Lawrence Kernan Professor and Chair of the Department of Orthopaedics at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Dr. Pellegrini previously served as the chairman of the Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, and the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, where he was also the C. McCollister Evarts Professor of Orthopaedics.
Dr. Pellegrini received his medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School and completed his general surgery residency at Hartford Hospital. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital, where he was chief resident and part of the limb replantation team. Dr. Pellegrini also completed a fellowship in surgery of the hand and upper extremity at the University of Rochester and the Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Pellegrini's clinical interests and expertise includes adult reconstructive/joint replacement surgery of the hip and knee and hand/upper extremity surgery. His research interests include thromboembolic disease, the control of heterotopic ossification, osteonecrosis, and causative factors in osteoarthritis. He has published many articles, lectured at professional meetings nationally and internationally, and is the recipient of numerous honors and awards. In addition to serving on the editorial review board and acting as a consultant to several journals, Dr. Pellegrini is also currently the editor-in-chief of "Current Opinion in Orthopaedics" and a member of the board of associate editors for the "Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery."

Dr. Brouillet is chief of surgery at Kernan Hospital, where he is also the director of the Total Joint Program. In addition to practicing general orthopaedics, Dr. Brouillet's special areas of expertise also include knee and hip replacement surgery, arthroscopic shoulder surgery, and sports medicine. Dr. Brouillet joined the Orthopaedic Associates of Central Maryland, P.A. in 1986. He received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and served his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center and Kernan Hospital. He has also served as the team physician for the Baltimore Blast professional soccer team.
Dr. Brouillet is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and is a past president of the Maryland Orthopaedic Society. Dr. Brouillet serves as a volunteer clinical instructor in the department of surgery for the University of Maryland School of Medicine.

Dr. Folgueras practices general Orthopaedic Surgery in his private practice in Baltimore. He received his medical degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine and served his residency at Tulane University Medical Center. Dr. Folgueras completed a fellowship in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine/Knee Reconstructive Surgery at The Hughston Sports Medicine Hospital in Columbus, GA. Dr. Folgueras is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Kinnard practices general orthopaedic surgery with a special area of expertise is sports medicine. Dr. Kinnard joined Orthopaedic Associates of Central Maryland, P.A. in 1999. He received his medical degree from Hahnemann University, School of Medicine and served his residency at Thomas Jefferson University, Department of Orthopaedics. He also completed a fellowship in sports medicine at Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Kinnard was previously in orthopaedic private practice in Silver Spring, MD, and prior to that he served as a staff orthopaedic surgeon for Kaiser Permanente in Stockton, California. He was an assistant team physician for both the Philadelphia Phillies Baseball Club and the Philadelphia Flyers Hockey Team.
