Functional Elecrical Stimulation (FES) for the Upper Extremity and the NESS H200™

We provide functional electrical stimulation (FES) for the upper extremity using the NESS H200™ in both the outpatient and inpatient Neurologic and Spinal Cord Occupational Therapy programs. Using breakthrough technology, the H200™ provides a means to treat upper extremity deficits from a variety of conditions including stroke, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, and spinal cord injury. After completing a thorough patient evaluation, the occupational therapist determines if using the H200™ will help the patient meet their therapy goals.

We have easy access to the building, with curbside drop-off and extra wheelchairs available for use at the front entrance. Please note that a physician’s referral and insurance authorization are required for this program. For further information or to schedule an outpatient appointment call (410) 448-6421 for patients with neurological needs and (410) 448-6706 for patients with spinal cord injury. Visit the Bioness Web site for more details on the device.
