Baltimore, MD (July 31, 2009) - Kernan Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation Hospital will be holding an Adapted Sports Festival on Saturday, September 12, 2009 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Designed as a fun-filled day for individuals with physical disabilities and their families, the day will include chances to participate in hand cycling, wheelchair volleyball, wheelchair basketball, a wheelchair slalom course, and adapted golf. There will also be a quad rugby demonstration.
Bert Burns, a former paralympian, is the lunchtime keynote speaker. Live music by the band Memphis Gold will begin at 2 p.m.
