Kernan Physical Therapy has a long history of excellence, providing a broad array of state-of-the-art outpatient rehabilitation services.

Outpatient services consist of evaluations, re-evaluations, treatments, and patient/family education and training using a variety of individual goal-oriented and functional therapeutic techniques to maximize patient function.

Kernan Physical Therapy -- certified by Medicare as a Rehabilitation Agency -- provides physical therapy, occupational therapy, athletic training, fitness and wellness services to professional, scholastic, recreational and amateur athletes. Kernan Physical Therapy has affiliations to provide Certified Athletic Trainers to many area high schools and is affiliated with world renowned trauma and orthopeadic physicians. These affiliations allow for an unmatched quality of care and afford a cycle of care which spans from the playing field (site of injury) to the Kernan physician's office (acute intervention) to the physical therapy clinic (intensive rehabilitation) and back to the training room and playing field (functional recovery).

After evaluating a patient's injury, the Kernan Physical Therapy team works closely with the referring physician to design a rehabilitation program to meet the patient's needs. The patient's progress is reported to the referring physician during all stages of rehabilitation. The length of the program depends on the type and extent of injury.
