Physical Therapy (PT)

There are three sites in the Kernan system that offer physical therapy services -- Woodlawn, Timonium, and Kernan Hospital -- all of which offer outpatient physical therapy services for patients with patients with orthopaedic, neurological and amputation issues.

In addition to therapy services for orthopedic, amputee and neurological conditions, the physical therapy center at Kernan Hospital also provides treatment for spinal cord and pulmonary disorders. Physical therapy at Kernan Hospital is provided by quality licensed physical therapists and physical therapy assistants in two spacious therapy gyms equipped with state-of-the-art equipment.

Occupational Therapy (OT)

Occupational Therapy is currently only offered at Kernan Hospital. Licensed occupational therapists and certified occupational therapy assistants at Kernan Hospital help patients overcome orthopedic and neurological dysfunctions of the upper extremities.

In addition to working in Kernan Hospital's state-of-the-art gyms, Occupational therapists use functional training bathrooms and kitchens to help their patients regain the function necessary for their activities of daily living.
